Our Story

Zuki Japanese Hibachi Grill & Sushi Lounge has been in operation since January 2007. After expanding in January 2010, we now have a total seating capacity of 200. Our dining area is divided into three sections: Hibachi, which consists of eight hibachi grill tables, a Sushi lounge, and Yakitori.

Zuki (derived from Suki which means “refined taste”) has made a name for itself. We've earned rave reviews both from local newspapers and diner’s club. To date, Zuki has 993 fan club members on our Facebook page, and growing. Guests look to us for a variety of reasons, including:

• Parties and Conferences: The private room area which can seat up to 14 people has a long hibachi grill table as well.
• Cozy Atmosphere: The interior of Zuki has been described as "upscale modern Japanese," replete with waterfalls and a soothing, warm color scheme.
• Almost Always Open: Zuki is open seven days a week. We close only for Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Our Reputation

Zuki was honored with Gold Winner awards for two consecutive years as Best Japanese Restaurant (2009 & 2010) by the Evansville Courier Press Reader’s Choice Awards. We also received the distinction of Gold Winner for Best Restaurant Service in 2010.

We have been featured on the cover of Evansville Living magazine's Jan/Feb 2010 edition with our famous "Dancin' Mama" sushi, which was named “the best sushi… of our city.” Zuki has consistently been a rated 4 1/2 to 5 star on Yelp, Urbanspoon and TripAdvisor review.

Our Awards

We have won the Courier & Press Reader’s Choice Award for EVANSVILLE’S BEST SUSHI for the 10th YEAR IN A ROW!! This is so exciting for us and we vow to keep the fresh sushi rolling and new recipes coming. If you haven’t experienced the sushi everyone is talking about, it is never too late!
